Landscape images of Orkney and Northern Scotland

Amazing - witnessing this impromptu light show makes up for all the hours spent pursuing dramatic winter light in the Highlands. The rainbow was very brief as was the sleet shower but I was there just after sunrise and the satisfaction was immense.
